Dan Cully
Dan Cully is an artist who draws on inspiration from the natural world, watching how life and nature move in an interconnected way. Themes of vast landscapes and fresh mountain streams inform the creation process of this music. An intention in Daniel's style is to connect with mystical luminous forces that reach out and inform our reality, creeping, and twisting like a vine, reaching, through the dampness and darkness towards the light.
Dan Cully is a Melbourne based solo musician who writes original Indie/ roots music.
His instrumental talent incorporates harmonica, didgeridoo, stomp box, guitar and soaring vocal melodies, giving his solo performance the power of a band.
His sound can be likened to artists such as Xavier Rudd, John Butler.
Dan is a national touring artist, in 2024 he was selected to support ARIA award winning Aussie rock legend Deborah Conway, and three-time winning national Folk act The Weeping Willows.
He has shared the stage at some of Australia’s best festivals with talents including The Peirce Brothers, 19 Twenty and blues artist Dom Turner.
He knows how to connect with an audience and has performed on Australian television delivering a performance that propelled his musical career.
In early 2024 Dan released his new single “Changes” and is on a 30-show tour of the east coast of Australia, playing multiple festivals, (Mordi Fest, St Albans Folk Fest, Renaissance Festival, Playing the Field) and performing around Tasmania, Victoria, NSW, and Queensland.
His new album titled “All in sweet time” is an eclectic mix of songs that express the depth and versatility of Dan’s songwriting and is set to be released in late 2024.
